The luxurious Wedding of Ato & Precious

I met my wife, queen of my life, the bone of my bone, the flesh of my flesh, at her workplace, which is in Kokrobite in Accra, Ghana. It was a pharmacy shop. On that beautiful day, it was actually at night time, I was coming home with my best friend, my aunty and my niece. On our way back home, my niece fell and hurt her hand. It was a scratch. So we stopped at this pharmacy shop, and my auntie and my niece went in there to get a band aid whiles I sat in the car. I lifted my eyes to see how things are going in the pharmacy and coincidentally, my eyes spotted this beautiful lady behind the counter. My curiosity led me to check her out, so I went in there and to my astonishments. I'm like, WOW, this lady is beautiful. She is an Angel indeed.

I overhead them talking about band aid. Whiles, my auntie was requesting for band aid, she responded of not knowing what it was. So she gave her a bandage. And I'm like, no, not bandage. By remembering in Ghana, it was called plaster. And then she got it for her. My Auntie made a quick intro that, this is my son, and he has a lot of American dollars. So He can even give you some of the dollars. She responded I want some American dollars, if you can give me.

Unfortunately, I didn't have dollars on me as at the time, so I was like, I don't the dollars right now, but as time goes on, i'll get you some. She said, no, you anything that you can give to me. So I open my auntie’s wallet which has several one dollar notes to give her. And this lady said, this guy, what do you take me for? You think I don't know dollars. I'm like, if that's the case, then just give me some time, I will send you mobile money one day. So we just laughed and left. Going home, she was all that I could think of. Earlier in our convo I asked what her name was. Precious, she replied. I'm like this is precious indeed. I’m Ato by name too. At home, she was all I thought of and wish to spend the rest of my life with but I didn't know how to do it.

So the next day, I passed by the shop, but she wasn’t around. So on my way back, I saw her and she opted that, I’ve forgotten her dollars and I'm like, no, I haven't forgotten your dollars. I just don't have it now. So you don't worry, i'll give it to you. But by the mean time, can you give me your number? She was a bit reluctant but later gave it to me. I'll surprise you one day,I said. So I went home。

On the same day around 10:00 pm, a brother of mine had a severe stomach ache which made him restless. I quickly call Precious though she had close then but she came through for us and gave us the medication. She was very nice. In fact, a niceness, i've never experienced that in life before.

So, I said let me send you some cash to appreciate you for your time, you could be asleep by now, so I sent her some money.

Happiness was all over her face when she saw the money. And she gave me a hug. I wish I could hold that hug forever. I enjoyed a hug fast forward. We all left and went out separate ways. One time, I call her wanting to explore a location I’m not that familiar with in town but she declined with the excuse of being busy. I tried time and again but she still declined. Was with my bro when I surprisingly saw her incoming call which got me excited and even prompt my bro. She said “I’ve set a table, maybe you can come and join us for lunch.”

I'm like that's beautiful for you. I went with my bro and I must say the food was delicious. Its been 2 years since but the memory remains fresh like yesterday.

From my previous relationships, I had a challenge with compatibility but with Precious it was a different experience. The flow was just natural. We could actually talk to each other, like I said we are brother, sisters like, it felt so normal, I'm like this feeling is so real.

So after some time, I'm like what? Let me make a move and ask her out and try my luck. And behold, when I did it, it took a while

before she gave me the answer, but as it’s said, those who wait, get the best things in life. So I waited and I got the best in life.

And since then, my life has never been the same. We’ve been the best that we can ever be. We are not perfect, but I think we are within the best couple or boyfriend and girlfriend ever. We are each other's best friend. We talk about everything and anything. We can’t hide a secret from ourselves. We have our ups and downs sometimes we argue, but it doesn't last for like the day. And we are back together again.

From then till now, I can’t wait for the beautiful moments to say yes, she is mine Yeah, that's the story of how we met.

And since then, life as my life has never been the same. We have been the best that we can never be. We are not perfect, but I think we are within the best couple or boyfriend and girlfriend ever. We are each other's best friend. We talk about everything and anything. We can hide a secret from anybody. Each other I we are happy. I it don't get me wrong. We have our ups and downs, sometimes we will argue, but it doesn't last for like the day. And we are back together again.
